Vision for Hamamatsu City for Intercultural Exchange

Hamamatsu City is promoting policies for multicultural conviviality based on the future vision of “a multicultural city that continues to create and grow together based on mutual understanding and respect. For more information please check out the Hamamatsu City Official Website here.

Intercultural Cities (ICC)

What are Intercultural Cities? ICC are a new way of dealing with urban policy. They believe that the diversity of a cities residents (i.e. from different cultural backgrounds such as migrants and minorities) is a source of vitality, innovation, creativity and opportunity for growth of the city. More than 150 cities, mainly in Europe, are members of the ICC Network. Hamamatsu City became the first Asian city to join the Network in October 2017.
