This fiscal year marks the start of the 3rd Hamamatsu Intercultural City Vision, as well as a fresh start for HICE’s medium-term projects. Accordingly, we will also undertake new key projects.
Foreign Resident Employment Consultations
This year at our Foreign Resident Employment Support Desk we will begin our Mentorship System in order to pivot our focus to promoting our workplace matching between foreign exchange students and local businesses. In addition, we will also increase the number of our employment consultants.
Promotion of Local Japanese Language Education System Creation
We will work to develop a Japanese language curriculum focused on daily-life in Hamamatsu, using the lifestyle “Can Do” based on the reference framework for Japanese language education. The content will include orientation for daily life, and will strengthen the link to the provision of multilingual information.
Creation of Places for Resident Exchange
We have realized the demand for “HICE’s Korekara Buddy” program, which we trialed last financial year. This year we hope to increase the activity and events of the program, as well as continue with building a community focused on achieving the international Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
