“Hamamatsu Project to Promote a Comprehensive System for Regional Japanese Language Education” – FY2021 – Agency for Cultural Affairs commissioned project.
– Co-Organized Project by: Tokoha University (2021 Regional Exchange) and Cooperation Promotion Project
This Fiscal Year, Tokoha University has been working to provide remote Japanese language lessons using ICT for those living in mountainous areas. The Tenryu Japanese Class was organized to be held once a month, and at the end they held a presentation.
There were 35 students who participated. 7 of those students, who were Thai and Indonesian, presented about their families and their lives in Japan. Students from the Faculty of Foreign Languages gave presentations in various languages, and there was also time for the presenters and the audience to interact in “Easy-Japanese”. An online questionnaire was held after the presentation, where the feedback was positive. People said things like, “I could feel the students passion and their sincere feelings” and ” I could feel that the presenters really liked Japan, and I felt like I wanted to know more about foreign countries”.
