On 25 May (Wed), an on-site training session was held at O Baiano, a Brazilian restaurant in Minami-ku, Hamamatsu, for Job Placement Agency Coordinators who employ Brazilian nationals.
When participants were asked to submit questions in advance, the most common question was about the childcare leave system, which came into effect April this year. The lecturer, Brazilian labour and social security attorney Mr. Fumio Shimamura, began his explanation with the importance of work-life balance, which has become a hot topic in Japan in recent years, and then went on to discuss the general employment regulations with answers to the questions received in advance.
