This event is a meet-and-greet experience rather than a show. However, you can watch the Yokoo Kabuki Troupe live at the Kaimeiza Theater, Inasa Local Community Center, Kita Ward, on October 12 (Sat)- 13 (Sun),2024.

About The Yokoo Kabuki Troupe
This folk kabuki troupe have preserved the tradition for more than 200 years in the Inasa Yokoo Shiraiwa region. All aspects of the performance are covered by local residents; acting, music, costumes, and props.Designated as a Shizuoka Prefecture cultural asset, they have also performed abroad.
Meet-and-Greet Highlights
Try on the kabuki costumes, learn the steps of kabuki choreography, try playing the shamisen and taiko, and even watch the makeup artists apply kabuki makeup!
